Walking for a cause: Intuitive Learning Solutions joins the Fight Against Alzheimer’s

A large group of people hold colorful pinwheel flowers representing support for Alzheimer’s awareness during the Walk to End Alzheimer’s event.

Every 65 seconds, someone in America develops Alzheimer’s disease. Behind each statistic is a family watching their loved one slip away, a caregiver navigating an uncertain path, and a community searching for hope.

This past weekend, our team at Intuitive Learning Solutions joined thousands of San Diegans at Liberty Station for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, taking meaningful steps toward a future where this devastating disease no longer steals precious memories and moments.

For our team at Intuitive Learning Solutions, supporting Alzheimer’s research and awareness is personal. Many of our team members are caregivers for loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s, and we understand firsthand the challenges families face when navigating this disease.

Participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s was our way of honoring those we care for and contributing to a future where no family has to face this journey alone.

About the Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the walk brings together people from all walks of life. From those living with the disease, caregivers, family members, researchers, and advocates, all united by a common goal to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.

Every dollar raised through the walk helps the Alzheimer’s Association advance vital research, provide free care and support services to families facing the disease, and advocate for critical policy changes.

From educational programs for caregivers to a 24/7 helpline staffed by specialists, the funds raised make a real difference in the lives of the more than 6 million Americans currently living with Alzheimer’s.

The San Diego walk has become one of the region’s most impactful community events, drawing participants from across the county to beautiful Liberty Station. The venue provides an inspiring backdrop for a morning dedicated to hope, remembrance, and action.

Why ILS got involved

At Intuitive Learning Solutions, community engagement and health advocacy are core to who we are. We believe in using our expertise and resources to support causes that promote well-being, advance healthcare understanding, and strengthen the communities we serve.

Our work in creating intuitive learning experiences naturally extends to supporting initiatives that educate, empower, and uplift. When we learned about the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, we saw an opportunity to align our values with meaningful action. This was a chance for our team to come together, show up for one another, and stand in solidarity with the millions of families affected by this disease.

Looking forward

Participating in this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s has only deepened our commitment to this cause. We’re not stopping at one event. We’re dedicated to being long-term advocates for Alzheimer’s awareness, research, and support.

We’d love to have you walk with us next year! Whether you’re personally affected by Alzheimer’s, want to support a meaningful cause, or simply enjoy connecting with the San Diego community, there’s a place for you on Team ILS. Join us in making strides toward a world without Alzheimer’s – together, we can make an even greater impact.

Together toward a future without Alzheimer’s

As we reflect on that memorable morning at Liberty Station, what stands out most isn’t just the miles we walked, but the sea of people from every corner of San Diego coming together with one shared purpose.

Seeing neighbors, families, caregivers, and advocates unite in the early morning light reminded us of the incredible power of community. It was a beautiful testament to compassion, resilience, and hope. We’re grateful to have been part of something so meaningful, and we’re already looking forward to next year when we can gather once again to walk toward a world without Alzheimer’s.
